The FYAO Organization

The FYAO is a not-for-profit organization, operating under the requirements of a 501(c)3. The FYAO is supported by membership tuition, grants and private and corporate donations. To operate smoothly, the FYAO is governed by a Board of Directors, our paid staff for both artistic and executive direction, and various operating committees and volunteers.

The Board of Directors

The FYAO is governed by a Board of Directors elected from among Participating Members (parents or legal guardians of the Performing Members) and Supporting Members. Each member of the Board is elected for a term of two (2) calendar years. Non-voting Advisory Members may be appointed to the Board as appropriate. All financial operations of the FYAO are closely monitored by the Board. Please refer to the Bylaws (available through the office) for specific information about the Board, its structure and responsibilities.

Please extend a warm welcome to the Board of Directors for the 2010/2011 Season!
